Couple paper layouts

So......since Eli decided to delete my entire digital scrapbooking collection and I was not able to recover most of it, I have been a bit more interested in paper. I did 2.5 simple layouts this weekend after a quick trip to Create 365. I say 2.5, b/c the last one is waiting for a pic. Hopefully will get that printed this week.

This is a pic from Jhett's first birthday. He had an early party in February so on his actual birthday we just had cake and a couple presents here at home after Daddy got off work.

While I was trying to dig out my cutter, I found this old pic from before Corey and I were married. It was on a layout I didn't particularly care for, so I ripped it off and stuck in on a new one. I decided to hang it on the wall above my new PC. We were so young!

I rarely take pics of myself and when I do, I usually hate them and delete them. But I dug up one for this challenge I found at i scrap. iNg designed this really cute kit called "Me, Myself & I" and you can grab it free on her blog if you'd like to participate in the challenge. 3 lucky winners will get some add-on doodled frames. Just sharing a new LO

I am pretty much LOVING this digi scrappin stuff! Eli is getting so big too, this pic was from a couple months ago and when I was making this page and looking at it, I could totally tell the difference. He looks like a baby here! He is definitely NOT a baby anymore though (sniff, sniff) but that's okay b/c I have another one on the way hehe. Eli will make a good big brother!

If you've noticed, I've renamed the fish section "Eli's Fish" since he has claimed them as his own. Every time he sees me on my blog he says "My fish! Needa feed my fish!!!" He sits in my lap and clicks away and tells them to eat their breakfast.

a couple QP's

These are some QP's (quick pages) which are kinda-sorta like cheating...it's like the digital form of scraplifting, only easier! Lots of designers give out free QP's on their blogs to promote new kits. I thought I'd try a couple out. Of course it's not as fun as making your own, but I thought these 3 were pretty cute. The first one is by Paislee Press Designs and the bottom two are both by Mia Designs.

New Hobby

Well, maybe just a change to an old one...I am figuring out the world of digital scrapbooking. I never understood why anyone would want to do digital scrapbooking instead of paper. Now that I have a 2 year old, I know! I also never realized how much digital stuff you can get free. I have made a couple practice pages, and haven't paid a penny for anything. I still have a lot of learning to do but here are my first few pages:

Playing on the PC

While chatting on msn, Summer sent me a link to a cute idea for mason jar cupcakes and i thought it was so cool! i browsed the rest of the blog and have to say i am impressed! i left there feeling inspired and decided to play around with some new stuff--

what's this GESSO?

I was curious about gesso b/c i randomly asked a fellow blogger what she painted her title w/ on a scrapbook page and she tells me "gesso" like i know wth THAT is....so who better to ask than the Gesso Queen herself? She has links to 2 cool projects you can use it with. Think I gotta get some of this stuff and try it out!

My ATG is on its way!

So, I went to Simply Scrappin last weekend and felt quite out of the loop. Everywhere I looked people [Lacey/Rebecca/Teri/Elizabeth...everybody!] had these weapons they were calling the ATG gun. What the heck is an ATG gun and where was I? So....after some googling and ebaying, I decided that I too, must join the ATG revolution. But mine is special. Mine is red.
I didn't really like the whole school bus yellow, so I opted for red. But THEN i saw altered ATG's...and I kinda like this PINK one hmmmm....

gonna do a calendar this year!

i NEVER got into the whole calendar thing before...but i have decided to do a kinda different {nontraditional] one...something like this --i wanna keep it plain and simple, and have maybe ONE pic for each month. looks like i'm already behind so i gotta go find something from january. and hopefully my BFF Lacey will be getting some cute valentine's shots of eli this weekend--i hope so b/c i have two premade 6x12 layouts ready to go, just waiting on pics lol!

so i just came across a cute and simple page by candimandi --click HERE to see it. of course my rockin momma will have to do the sewing for me as i'm banned from her embroidery machine (i broke a needle OOPS!) i am somewhat skeptical on the whole vellum comeback, but sewing with it would be MUCH funner than trying to use dumb ole vellum tape anywayz.
